For the children's class exchange meeting, we went to the Yokohama City Disaster Prevention Center, a 10-minute walk from JR Yokohama Station.
A total of 23 participants, including students, their families, and volunteers, participated.
We learned about the importance of preparing for the inevitable major earthquake and what to do when a disaster actually occurs.
We also had an experience learning about "communication boards" that are useful in times of disaster.
All participants experienced an earthquake of the maximum seismic intensity of 7 that could occur in Japan.
