To commemorate the 70th instalment of the Afternoon Tea series, we will be holding the event “The Charm of Beijing Opera and Mysterious Art of ‘Face-changing’”. We invited guest speaker Ryuuken from “Soliusya”, who is a performer of the Chinese traditional arts of Beijing Opera and “face-changing”. “Face-changing” is a special part of Chinese cultural heritage, and is often kept mysterious due to its secret technique. Audiences are often captivated by the impressive performances that are filled with history and tradition. You too can enjoy this beautiful Chinese tradition.
